New India Health Insurance: Know Plans, Benefits & Premium

India Insurance has increased the premium of its mediclaim coverage by 20%. He has also added some new features to attract new customers. An increase in premium could improve the corporate's underwriting experience.

With this, competitors could also be losing their edge in the best selling health insurance coverage. The company has increased the premium of its product for the primary time since its launch in 2012.

A senior executive of New India stated, "We've got increased the features of Mediclaim 2012 and its costs." Our health insurance claim ratio has exceeded 100%. Our move will definitely cut back it. According to the new charges, a 35-year-old man residing in the metro may have a mediclaim policy of Rs 8 lakh for Rs 10,032, which was earlier out there for Rs 8,690.

New India is the market leader in health insurance. Its market share stood at around 19% on the end of fiscal yr 2015-16. Retail accounts for 40% of the company's health premium and the rest is from the company segment. Two popular products from New India are Family Floater and Mediclaim 2012.
